Job Description
The Senior Data Engineer will design and implement modern data pipelines and cloud-based platform solutions for enterprise clients, with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks.
Overview
We are seeking a seasoned data engineer to contribute to scalable data architectures and pipelines across enterprise environments, leveraging Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks to enable analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated expertise in data schema design, data modeling, and constructing robust data pipelines.
- Track record of delivering ETL and ELT solutions to ingest data from diverse sources.
- Proficiency with SQL Server and Azure offerings including SSIS, SSAS, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and Power BI.
- Experience architecting cloud data platforms to support data pipelines and analytics workflows, preferably on Microsoft Fabric.
- Gather and analyze user requirements for reports, forms, queries, and data extraction.
- Design and deploy end-user tools and processes for data extraction, querying, and data manipulation aligned with business processes.
- Leverage Azure services for data storage, processing, and analysis.
- Work with Azure Data Lake for large-scale data processing and analytics.
- Analyze data using a range of tools to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Develop Power Automate scripts to automate data processing and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a deep understanding of data architecture and pipeline design.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in data warehouse and data pipeline development.
- Experience with SQL Server and Azure Fabric, including SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
- Experience implementing Medallion Architecture.
- Familiarity with Azure data management services.
- Strong ability to analyze complex datasets and present findings effectively.
- Certification in the Microsoft Fabric technology stack.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
