Job Description

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer in Chicago, IL (hybrid), with a salary range of USD 110,841 to 145,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on designing, building, and deploying scalable, reliable data pipelines that integrate data across multiple systems.
  • Define and enforce analytics engineering standards, covering coding practices, data governance, performance optimization, and automation strategies.
  • Contribute to code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and advance the team's coding practices and methodologies.
  • Create and maintain reliable ETL and ELT pipelines, reusable frameworks, and libraries to process data from various sources with high quality and consistency.
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot pipelines to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across workflows.
  • Establish CI/CD workflows to automate deployment, testing, and ongoing maintenance of analytics processes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable technical specifications and deliver data solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders to align on data initiatives across teams.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with SQL, Python, dbt, and Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with Git and Airflow for version control and workflow orchestration.
  • Demonstrated track record designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data quality assurance, and performance optimization in data engineering.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT, data modeling, and integrating data from multiple sources into a data warehouse.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD workflows and tools for data engineering.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities and a collaborative mindset.
