Senior Data Engineer

CGI Group, Inc. is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a team delivering data engineering and operational capabilities for financial data workflows. This onsite role supports an AWS-centric environment and focuses on building reliable pipelines, modeling data for enterprise use, and creating applications that help teams act on operational signals.

The position is available in Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, or Birmingham, AL, with the Knoxville option specifically designated as onsite. The salary range is USD 89,600 - 123,200 per year, and the role requires 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate enterprise data sources
• Build and maintain automated alerting and case management tools
• Ensure data governance and compliance standards are met across the data lifecycle
• Develop and operate data pipelines
• Create ontology models
• Build operational applications that support critical business workflows within an AWS-centric environment

What you bring

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, including building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines
• 3+ years working directly in Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder, Workshop, Code Repositories, and ontology modeling
• Strong coding skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL, with the ability to write clean, efficient, production-ready code
• Experience connecting enterprise systems using APIs, SFTP, and cloud-native data services
• Background building operational tools such as workflow automation, alerting systems, or case management applications
• Working knowledge of data governance, lineage tracking, security practices, and compliance requirements
• Comfort working with business stakeholders and delivering in Agile/Scrum environments
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
