Job Description
Senior Data Engineer role focused on building and maintaining data collection systems and an analytics platform at Uline.
Location: Waukegan, IL (onsite) • Salary: USD 96,000 - 148,000 per year • Experience: 8+ years • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and implement BI and data warehouse solutions.
- Work with project leads, analysts, and business users to deploy and validate data warehouse applications.
- Develop advanced data engineering workflows to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Conduct unit, performance, and regression testing for ETL mappings.
- Adhere to coding standards, participate in code reviews, and improve quality practices.
- Manage production deployments and coordinate cross-team execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing ETL using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Proven ability to write complex T-SQL and optimize database performance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve data issues.
- Knowledge of SSIS, Python, Azure or Databricks is a plus.
- Uline does not participate in the H1-B lottery.
