Senior Backend Developer (Python)

Openkyber is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join the team onsite in Alaska. The role centers on scaling and extending the app simulation framework that trains AI agents, using a Python backend and data pipelines. You will collaborate with researchers at FAIR to push the boundaries of AI agent research and contribute to the infrastructure powering the next generation of AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Grow our app simulation pipeline for training and evaluating computer-use agents.
• Contribute to the frontiers of AI agent research.
• Scale our app simulation framework to train the next generation of computer-use agents.
• Designing and extending apps in the our simulation framework in partnership with researchers at FAIR.
• Contribute to the infrastructure powering the next generation of AI agents.
• Developing OpenApps research ecosystem in partnership with researchers at FAIR.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Python
• 5-7 years of experience
• Fluency in Python, including managing data pipelines
• Experience with web development with a Python backend

Additional Notes

• Core product is an app simulator for AI agents, open apps
• Familiarity with Python in a web development capacity
• Having a portfolio of apps that they've built end to end with public code is a plus
• Familiarity or interest in AI research is a plus
