Job Description

Salesforce Developer role for Intellibee Inc, supporting the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center team at the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. This position is based in Lansing, MI and focuses on hands-on Salesforce development with end-to-end technical ownership across implementations and releases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on CRM development for crisis call workflows supporting the MICAL (Michigan Crisis Line), including coding and delivering user stories.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and future enhancements.
  • Ensure technical requirements align with established customer requirements, performance goals, and the client’s long-term strategy.
  • Own release cycles, implementing new capabilities and updates to existing applications and code.
  • Maintain overall technical responsibility for the technical aspects of the project environments.
  • Compile and maintain internal development guidelines and ensure the team follows the established standards.
  • Collaborate with developers for other systems to support cross-business integration.
  • Ensure proposed solutions comply with SOM security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate delivery of business value using technology and communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level.
  • Devise a training plan to support a smooth transition to Maintenance & Operations.
  • Participate across each phase of full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations.
  • Work with technical managers, architects, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and drive implementation of technical solutions.
  • Implement integrations between Salesforce and cloud-based and on-premises applications using standard and custom REST APIs.
  • Apply core web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and web services using REST and SOAP with JSON and XML.
  • Implement authentication protocols including OAuth to integrate third-party applications.
  • Deliver Batch Apex and/or Schedule Apex solutions.
  • Own end-to-end technical aspects of Salesforce.com programs, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, third-party applications, AppExchange products, and custom development.
  • Define, communicate, and manage technical change management processes (for example, release) for Salesforce technology efforts.
  • Assess Salesforce.com architecture and provide secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform.
  • Design and document technical architecture solutions spanning multiple platforms, including integration and authentication across systems.
  • Support SFDX development, including branch management, merging, and code deployment activities using Azure DevOps build CI/CD processes.
  • Identify technical risks and issues.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle.
  • 6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience.
  • 4+ years developing on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript.
  • 5+ years of experience with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC.

Additional Salesforce Responsibilities and Skill Focus

  • Strong knowledge and working experience in Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
  • In-depth understanding of Salesforce capabilities and constraints.
  • Strong hands-on experience writing Apex, Visualforce pages, Apex triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Knowledge of configuration-based solutions using Flows, process builders, and workflow rules.
  • Ownership of end-to-end Salesforce.com technical components, including data migrations, data quality, integrations, third-party solutions, AppExchange products, and custom development.
  • Define and manage technical change management and release processes for Salesforce technology efforts.
  • Assess Salesforce.com architecture and deliver secure, high-performance solutions on Force.com.
  • Support SFDX development and Azure DevOps CI/CD build processes for branch management, merging, and code deployment.

Preferred and Other Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II; experience with Conga and Drawloop.
  • Other desired qualifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator; experience with API integrations and SSO implementations; experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps (or comparable tools) for requirements tracking, CI/CD, or release management; exposure to data migration and/or cloud integration projects.
  • Additional beneficial experience includes Conga and Drawloop; familiarity with governmental processes and compliance, including prior experience working with FedRAMP compliant tools and environments.
