Job Description

American Retirement Association seeks an experienced Salesforce Developer to design, build, and support Salesforce with Fonteva for an association.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and support solutions using Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components, and platform configuration
  • Develop and extend functionality in a Fonteva based association management environment
  • Translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions in close partnership with analysts and stakeholders
  • Support core processes across membership, events, commerce, service and case management, and sales
  • Troubleshoot defects, resolve production issues, and improve platform reliability and performance
  • Build and support integrations and data flows using Salesforce APIs and event based approaches
  • Follow and help mature development standards around testing, documentation, deployment, and change control
  • Contribute to code reviews, release readiness, and technical documentation

Requirements

  • Three or more years of hands on Salesforce development experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components
  • Experience delivering in Salesforce production environments with real business process complexity
  • Solid understanding of the Salesforce data model, security model, automation, and platform best practices
  • Sound judgment in balancing declarative and programmatic approaches
  • Ability to troubleshoot across code, configuration, integrations, and data
  • Experience with deployments, testing, and release management in a structured environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non technical partners

Position summary

ARA is seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer who will own key areas of the platform. The role supports a meaningful technology transformation, delivering solutions across membership, events, sales, and service delivery on Salesforce with Fonteva, in collaboration with business and technical colleagues.

The position suits someone with three to five years of Salesforce development experience who demonstrates solid Apex and LWC skills, good judgment between building and configuring, and a proven track record in production environments. Clean, maintainable code and strong cross audience communication are important traits.

Fonteva experience is highly valued and provides a strong head start. Prior work in an association, membership, or nonprofit Salesforce environment is beneficial. Architecture and technical design experience is a plus and supports growth in this role.

What success looks like

  • First 30 days
    • Familiarize with core Salesforce and Fonteva workflows, environments, and priorities
    • Resolve a meaningful set of high priority defects or enhancements
    • Operate productively within the established development and release process

    • Deliver quality enhancements with robust testing and documentation
    • Earn trust from stakeholders through reliable execution and clear communication
    • Improve reliability in at least one key business process
  • By 90 days
    • Be a dependable, independent contributor on the platform
    • Ship work with reduced rework and stronger release quality
    • Help stabilize and mature post launch operations as a trusted team member

Experience

  • Salesforce development: 3 years (Required)
  • Apex and Lightning Web Components: 3 years (Required)
  • Fonteva or other Salesforce managed package: 3 years (Preferred)

License and certification

  • Salesforce Certification (Preferred)
