Job Description

Vantor’s RadCAM team in Longmont, Colorado, builds software that supports calibration, performance assessment, and delivery of satellite radiometric data. This on-site role dives into collaboration with scientists and remote sensing experts to ensure imagery quality and robust data products, aligning engineering work with space operations and production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support for RadCAM software within Vantor's space operations and production environments.
  • Design and architect services while monitoring reliability for existing systems.
  • Offer software design guidance and technical support to RadCAM team members.
  • Develop and validate software that integrates with the existing ground system through Vantor's CI/CD pipeline.
  • Create automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
  • Collaborate with RadCAM SMEs to commission future sensors and broaden the current radiometric calibration capabilities.
  • Serve as an interface between the RadCAM team and the broader Vantor software groups while guiding adoption of software best practices.
  • Design and develop new services and enhancements to existing ones.
  • Work with other software engineers on design and development efforts.
  • Provide architectural and design guidance for the future of a cloud-based distributed tech stack.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.
  • Support deadlines and communicate issues and results clearly.
  • Adhere to and continuously improve software best practices.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • Two additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Solid software engineering capabilities.
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment workflows.
  • Experience developing applications that run on Linux.

Pay Transparency

The base pay for this position within Colorado is USD 124,000.00 – USD 165,000.00 – USD 181,500.00 annually.
