Quality Engineering Senior Automation Developer - AVP
Job Description
This senior quality engineering automation position collaborates with Citi’s Technology team to establish and implement new or revised application systems, contributing to systems analysis and programming activities within an enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform feasibility studies, develop time and cost estimates, and participate in IT planning, risk assessment, and applications development to meet defined business needs
- Oversee all phases of the development lifecycle, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation, while providing user and operational support to business users
- Apply deep expertise in applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and reference industry standards to inform solutions
- Recommend and implement security measures during post implementation analysis to ensure robust system design and functionality
- Consult with users, clients, and other technology teams on issues, propose advanced programming solutions, and assist with exposure of customer systems
- Ensure adherence to essential procedures and contribute to defining operating standards and processes
- Provide guidance as an advisor or coach to new or junior analysts
- Operate with limited supervision and exercise independent judgment and autonomy
- Serve as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members
- Assess risk in business decisions, uphold the firm’s reputation, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while escalating and transparently addressing control issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
- Experience in managing and delivering successful projects
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or changing requirements
- Experience with behavior-driven development and test-driven development, including Cucumber framework
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or SOAPUI
- Understanding of deep learning fundamentals, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and large language models (LLMs)
- Experience in API development and integrating models via APIs

Salary range: USD 107,120 - 160,680 per year
