Job Description

Citi offers a people‑centered, impact driven environment for a Quality Engineering Senior Automation Developer (AVP) in Irving, TX. This on‑site role partners with the Technology team to establish and implement new or revised application systems and contributes to applications analysis and programming. Responsibilities

  • Lead tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development; establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet business needs
  • Oversee all phases of the development lifecycle from analysis and design through construction, testing, and implementation; provide user and operational support to business users
  • Apply deep specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and reference industry standards to guide decisions
  • Recommend and design security measures during post‑implementation analysis to ensure robust system functionality
  • Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues; propose advanced programming solutions and assist with customer exposure systems
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
  • Operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independent judgment and autonomy
  • Act as subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members
  • Assess risk in business decisions, uphold Citi's reputation, protect clients and assets, and escalate and report control issues with transparency per applicable laws and policies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering successful projects
  • Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage changing deadlines
  • Experience with BDD/TDD and Cucumber framework development
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAPUI
  • Understanding of deep learning fundamentals, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and LLMs
  • Experience in API development and integration of models through APIs
