Python Developer

Experis is hiring a Python Developer to join the Front Office Applications Support team focused on Global Markets. This onsite role in Jersey City, NJ supports front-office trading environments by building and maintaining Python-based systems, APIs, and full-stack solutions that help financial teams operate with reliability and speed.

The position centers on high-performance development for trading technology, alongside collaboration with quantitative research to deliver domain-specific data analysis tooling. You will also contribute to risk and pricing application work and support offshore teams to keep integrations and support functions running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance Python applications for front-office trading systems
• Collaborate with quantitative research teams to implement domain-specific data analysis tools
• Design and enhance RESTful APIs and full-stack solutions using ReactJS
• Work on risk and pricing application development within the global market environment
• Support offshore teams and ensure seamless integration of support functions

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on programming experience in object-oriented languages, with strong emphasis on Python
• 7+ years as a senior developer working on front-office banking applications
• Experience with quantitative research and domain-specific data analysis
• Proficiency in REST, ReactJS, and full-stack development
• Knowledge of relational and object databases; trade surveillance experience is a plus
