Power Platform Developer (Power Apps / Power BI) — SharePoint Online | Secret Clearance
Job Description
The Power Platform Developer will design, build, and sustain low-code applications and analytics atop the Microsoft Power Platform for a SharePoint Online foundation. This onsite role in Alexandria, VA requires an active Secret clearance to support Records and Information Management initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop canvas and model‑driven applications to optimize Records and Information Management processes for the Records and Declassification Division
- Architect data layers across Dataverse and SharePoint lists and libraries, applying delegation‑aware patterns to maintain performance at scale
- Automate document routing, approvals, notifications, and lifecycle tasks with Power Automate flows, integrating SharePoint, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 services
- Build and manage custom and standard connectors; implement error handling, retry logic, and environment promotion (dev to test to prod) using solutions
- Create interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to provide visibility into records inventory, retention status, and compliance metrics
- Model data and develop DAX measures; implement repeatable ETL with Power Query against SharePoint, SQL Server, and other sources
- Configure refresh schedules, row‑level security, and workspace governance suitable for a controlled environment
- Configure and customize the DISA‑provided SharePoint Online environment to host the RIM‑compliant site, including architecture, content types, metadata, libraries, retention labels, and permissions
- Enhance user experience with SPFx, JSON column/view formatting, and Power Apps embedded forms
- Support migration from shared drives into the RIM‑compliant SPO site, collaborating with DoD network and SPO administrators to troubleshoot network and migration issues
- Develop training, guidance, and turnkey products to assist WHS‑serviced Components in standing up their own RIM‑compliant SPO sites
- Draft and maintain SOPs, desktop guidance, and configuration documentation
- Provide ongoing expertise, maintenance, and program development for the RIM‑compliant SPO site
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years building solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Hands‑on Power Apps experience with canvas and/or model‑driven apps using Dataverse or SharePoint as a data source
- Power BI experience including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Online configuration and customization
- Front‑end fundamentals: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, and jQuery
- Familiarity with SQL Server, MS Access, and relational data concepts
- Strong Microsoft 365 / Office suite proficiency
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and comfortable in an onsite, client‑facing role

About the Role
This position focuses on delivering Power Platform based solutions for RIM within a DISA‑provided SharePoint Online environment. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain low‑code applications and analytics on Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, anchored to a SharePoint Online foundation.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate solutions to streamline RIM processes for the Records and Declassification Division
- Architect data layers across Dataverse and SharePoint with delegation‑aware patterns to ensure scalable performance
- Create and manage connectors, implement robust error handling, retries, and promote environments from development to production
SharePoint Online (Supporting Platform)
- Configure and customize the DISA‑provided SPO environment to host the RIM‑compliant site, including site architecture, content types, metadata, libraries, retention labels, and permissions
- Improve user experience with SPFx, JSON view formatting, and Power Apps embedded forms
- Assist migration from shared drives into the RIM‑compliant SPO site, coordinating with DoD network and SPO administrators to resolve network and migration issues
Enablement & Documentation
- Develop training, guidance, and turnkey products to enable WHS‑serviced Components to stand up their own RIM‑compliant SPO sites
- Draft and maintain SOPs, desktop guidance, and configuration documentation
- Provide ongoing expertise, maintenance, and program development for the RIM‑compliant SPO site
Schedule & Location
Full‑time, standard 8‑hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Onsite at Alexandria, VA; reliable commuting or relocation before start is required.
Pay
Salary range: USD 110,000 to 130,000 per year.
Experience
Power Apps experience typically 3 years is preferred, with 2+ years minimum as noted in the requirements.
Security Clearance
Active Secret clearance is required for this role.
Ability to Commute
Alexandria, VA 22311 (Preferred).
