Job Description

IDR, Inc. is hiring a Power BI Developer for a Denver, CO (remote) opportunity focused on building and maintaining business intelligence solutions. In this role, you will design reusable semantic models, improve report performance, and support automation around data refreshes and access controls.

You will work across Power BI and related tooling to deliver reliable reporting that helps teams make informed decisions. The position emphasizes scalable data modeling, efficient integrations with multiple data sources, and practical performance optimization techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards used for business decision-making.
  • Create reusable semantic data models in Power BI that are efficient and scalable.
  • Connect Power BI to multiple data sources, including APIs, SQL databases, and cloud services, including streaming datasets.
  • Optimize Power BI reports and data models for performance, using tools such as DAX Studio.
  • Collaborate with organizational teams to automate data refreshes and manage access controls.

Requirements

  • Experience establishing re-usable semantic data models within Power BI.
  • Excel proficiency at an intermediate level, comfortable with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with running the Tabular Editor best practice analyzer.
  • Ability to connect to multiple data sources, including streaming datasets.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and how to leverage AI technologies to enhance data processes and workflows.
