Power BI Developer

Sprout is seeking a Power BI Developer for a remote position to translate SmartERP data into actionable dashboards and reports. The successful candidate will own the dashboards and collaborate with product, operations, and customer success teams to deliver insights across enterprise workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain Power BI dashboards and reports that expose SmartERP data to enterprise clients, covering IT asset management, ESG compliance, and value recovery workflows.
• Collaborate with customer success, operations, and product teams to capture reporting needs and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
• Integrate Power BI with SmartERP data sources, maintaining data integrity, timely updates, and performance at scale.
• Create self-serve reporting capabilities enabling customers to explore data independently without technical support.
• Develop reusable report templates aligned with Sprout's branding and visual identity.
• Work with SmartERP product and engineering teams to surface new data signals as the platform evolves.
• Assist onboarding by delivering customized reporting environments that demonstrate value early.
• Design and implement data models to support multiple departments and use cases.
• Consolidate shared logic from existing Power BI semantic models into a unified target data model.
• Build ELT pipelines in SQL using the Postgres -> Fivetran -> Databricks stack.
• Create and maintain Power BI semantic models and provide support to data analysts and business users.
• Produce Power BI reports and visualizations.
• Support the overall health of the BI environment by diagnosing and resolving defects in queries, data models, and reports.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years building data and analytics applications, products, or reports with SQL.
• At least 3 years partnering with business stakeholders and data analysts to gather requirements and design data products.
• At least 3 years designing data models and building transformation pipelines for data warehouses or data lakes, with Databricks experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Power BI experience; candidates with experience in Tableau or Looker will also be considered.
• Experience using Git for version control.
