Job Description
Technology Digest inc is hiring a mid-level Power Apps Developer for a contract role supporting a modernization effort in Oklahoma City, OK. This hybrid position will focus on replacing a legacy Bail Bonds tracking process with a Power Platform solution that streamlines data intake, applies compliance calculations, and standardizes reporting and correspondence.
The work includes building user-facing Power Apps, automating business processes with Power Automate, modeling core entities in Dataverse, and delivering a controlled deployment path from test and UAT into production in line with state IT governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Replace Trackum with a Power Platform user interface that enables bondsmen, sureties, and MCAs to enter and update licensing, bond, and forfeiture data.
- Develop Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps to support internal field audits and structured workflows, integrated with state service portals.
- Design and configure Dataverse data models for applicant, bondsman, surety, and MCA information, including address details (residence, business, mailing), contact info, legal name, liability amounts, and bond activity.
- Implement a calculations engine for Special Deposit computations using liability ÷ 20 or liability ÷ 10.
- Implement a calculations engine to compare Special Deposit values and trigger a Special Deposit Flag when variance exceeds 10%.
- Implement a calculations engine to determine Ratio Writing Liability using 20:1 vs. 10:1 based on rolling 12-month flag history.
- Automate late or outstanding report detection against a 15th-of-month due date, including weekend and holiday rollover logic.
- Build Power Automate flows to reduce manual work in licensing, fraud tracking, and consumer complaint workflows, including automated 10-day notice generation and canned letter/email templates tied to each agency’s electronic record.
- Create reporting for Liability Reports (including exception highlighting), report submission and late report queries, bondsman activity, settled amounts and fines, and ad hoc reporting across available data fields.
- Manage solution deployments using solutions and environment variables through test/UAT into production, following state IT governance standards.
- Use Power Fx and JavaScript as needed to enhance model-driven app validation, logic, and field triggers.
- Support integrations with existing systems such as AS/400, and eventually a case management system for legal referrals, using APIs and JSON.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional application development experience.
- 2+ years specifically designing and deploying Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
- Strong understanding of relational database design and Dataverse architecture.
- Experience integrating data via APIs and manipulating JSON.
- Working knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) protocols and public-sector security frameworks.
- Basic familiarity with state government IT standards and governance processes.
- Must pass an Enhanced Background Check (OSBI/FBI).
