Job Description
Senior level PeopleSoft FSCM developer accountable for designing, developing, integrating, reporting, tuning, upgrading, and delivering production support for The Emery Company FSCM applications.
Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, configure, and maintain PeopleSoft FSCM applications and related technologies.
- Design, code, unit test, debug, document, and deploy complex PeopleSoft development projects.
- Develop technical solutions that satisfy approved business and functional requirements.
- Create or modify PeopleSoft objects using Application Designer.
- Develop and maintain Application Engine programs and Application Packages.
- Develop and maintain PeopleCode, Components and Pages, Records and Fields, and Component Interfaces.
- Develop and maintain Integration Broker services and related integrations.
- Configure and customize Approval Workflow Engine configurations and related processes.
- Create and maintain File layouts, Queries, reports, and batch/scheduled processes.
- Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable application components.
- Review existing customizations and identify performance, maintainability, and alignment improvements with delivered functionality.
- Adhere to established coding, documentation, source-control, security, and development standards.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain integrations between FSCM and external applications.
- Evaluate integration requirements and recommend suitable methods and technologies.
- Develop and support inbound and outbound integrations using Integration Broker, web services (REST/SOAP), Application Messaging, and various interfaces (Component Interfaces, File-based, XML/JSON, SFTP).
- Create and maintain integration specifications, data mappings, message definitions, transformation rules, and error-handling procedures.
- Troubleshoot interface failures, data discrepancies, authentication/connectivity issues, and message-processing errors; monitor performance and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to coordinate integration development and testing; perform end-to-end validation across modules and downstream systems.
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs; prepare technical specs for enhancements, customizations, integrations, and reports.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and estimate development effort, complexity, resources, and timelines.
- Conduct impact analyses on affected objects, modules, integrations, reports, security roles, and downstream systems.
- Participate in technical design reviews and provide guidance on architecture, coding approach, integration strategy, and performance.
- Ensure solutions comply with architecture, governance, security, and quality standards.
- Develop, enhance, and support FSCM reports and data extracts using BI Publisher, PS Query, nVision, and related tools.
- Define reporting requirements with business teams, specify data sources, layout, and distribution needs; troubleshoot results, performance, and scheduling issues.
- Produce ad hoc queries and data extracts for audits, reconciliation, compliance, and business analysis; validate results for accuracy.
- Monitor and optimize performance of PeopleSoft applications, batch processes, reports, queries, and integrations; diagnose and resolve issues across systems.
- Lead knowledge-transfer sessions, provide technical guidance, and perform code reviews; mentor other developers and support staff.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and ensure post-deployment validation and support for production releases.

Preferred Qualifications
- Seven plus years of PeopleSoft application development and production support experience.
- Five plus years of PeopleSoft FSCM development experience across modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Billing, Asset Management, Purchasing, eProcurement, Commitment Control, Cash Management, Inventory, Grants, Project Costing.
- Experience leading technical development for ERP implementations or upgrades; strong integration broker experience with complex third-party integrations.
- Experience with Update Manager, selective adoption, retrofits, and PeopleTools upgrades.
- Proficiency developing BI Publisher, nVision, and PeopleSoft Query reports; advanced SQL and performance tuning in Oracle.
- Background in government environments (public sector, county, municipal, state) and familiarity with related financial, procurement, budgeting, asset management, or grant processes.
- Relevant technical certifications (PeopleSoft, Oracle, integration, or database).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience developing, implementing, or supporting enterprise applications.
- Three years of hands-on development experience in a PeopleSoft FSCM environment.
- Demonstrated experience with PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQL, reporting, and system integrations.
- Experience designing, coding, unit testing, troubleshooting, and deploying complex application changes.
