Network Software Developer

Build and support networking software for research, prototyping, simulation, emulation, and testbed activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop networking software used for simulation, emulation, and/or testbed efforts
• Deliver supporting infrastructure, including container management and deployment using Kubernetes
• Contribute to development of software-defined networking (SDN) and/or routing approaches aimed at solving problems and improving performance in emerging networks

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience
• Experience with C++ and Python
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN)
• Familiarity with routing protocols
• Good oral and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred / Desired

• Experience with software-defined networking
• Experience operating and/or implementing routing protocols
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present findings and results to internal and external organizations

Work Environment

Compensation

• Salary range (MA only): Approximately $101,500 - $152,200 USD annually
• Final offered rate is based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity
