Mobile Engineer - iOS Developer
Job Description
On-site Mobile Engineer role focused on building and maintaining iOS banking applications for Central Bancompany.
Responsibilities
- Deliver full life cycle development for native iOS mobile applications using Objective-C, Swift, and SwiftUI.
- Apply and follow coding standards in day-to-day development work.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions across iOS features and production systems.
- Partner with users to identify problems and clarify design requirements.
- Collaborate with a team to complete programming projects on a timely schedule.
- Document changes and operate independently within the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Multitask and prioritize tasks to support production needs.
- Independently maintain and enhance production iOS banking applications.
- Maintain Objective-C and UIKit code while developing and supporting Swift and SwiftUI features.
- Support Apple Watch and watchOS applications, including WidgetKit extensions, app extensions, and related device integrations.
- Work within Xcode projects and manage schemes, multiple bank and environment configurations, code signing, provisioning, versioning, and App Store distribution.
- Implement and support security-sensitive capabilities including Keychain, biometric authentication, secure networking, and certificate pinning.
- Support payment-related device provisioning such as payment-pass provisioning and other security-sensitive integrations.
- Participate in testing, release validation, production diagnosis, incident response, and documentation of customer-impacting issues.
Requirements
- Experience with iOS application development and programming in an Xcode environment.
- Knowledge of Swift and SwiftUI.
- Professional experience maintaining and releasing native iOS applications in a production environment; banking or other security-sensitive experience is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of UIKit, Objective-C interoperability, Swift, SwiftUI, and legacy-code maintenance.
- Experience with Apple Watch and watchOS, WidgetKit, app extensions, URLSession, and RESTful service integration.
- Experience with Xcode schemes, multiple targets or configurations, code signing, provisioning profiles, App Store distribution, and release troubleshooting.
- Experience with Keychain, biometrics, certificate pinning, secure credential handling, payment integrations, and third-party SDKs.
- Experience writing or maintaining unit, UI, integration, or release-validation tests.
- Experience with RESTful web services; JSON and XML is desired.
- Experience building, testing, and distributing iOS and Android applications is desired.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools: use AI coding assistants and design-to-code generation effectively with standard prompts, aligned design tokens, and the judgment to review, test, and correct AI-generated code before committing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across business and technical audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- BS or BA in Computer Science or a related field.
