Mission Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior)
Job Description
Join Boeing's Phantom Works OASIS Solutions team in Berkeley, Missouri, onsite, to design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software for space-based effects. This Mission Software Engineer role is open to Experienced or Senior engineers and requires an active U.S. Secret security clearance to contribute to these programs in the Berkeley area.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software across the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with industry standards, customer needs, and safety/regulatory requirements.
- Interprets customer requirements and translates them into initial software designs.
- Leads junior engineers in software development activities.
- Develops interface definitions.
- Performs unit and integration testing.
- Participates in peer reviews.
- Supports software system integration and test efforts.
- Creates comprehensive software documentation.
- Interfaces with multiple programming languages to deliver software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Active U.S. Secret Security clearance
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience with C++
- 1+ years of MATLAB
- 1+ years of Experience with Agile Software development lifecycle

Compensation
- Experienced: $126,650 - $171,350 per year
- Senior: $160,650 - $217,350 per year
