Job Description
Design, build, and support mobile applications for high-profile clients in a San Jose onsite role with relocation for multi-month assignments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve applications for either iOS or Android
- Maintain performance, quality, and responsiveness across the app experience
- Work with a team to define, design, and implement new features
- Monitor and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and code quality issues
- Identify areas for improvement and suggest enhancements to existing apps
- Capture requirements and provide accurate, realistic project milestones and timelines
- Deliver projects on schedule and communicate changes promptly
- Share progress and milestones using consistent communication via phone, text, and email
- Maintain positive client rapport and manage client expectations
- Complete coding tests or challenges as required
Requirements
- Strong understanding of MVC / MVVM software architectural patterns
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin with at least 1 year of experience
- At least 1 published application on the Google Play Store
- Familiarity with the Android SDK, multiple Android versions, and responsive layouts for different screen sizes
- Experience with testing frameworks including Espresso and JUnit
- Knowledge of mobile data storage with SQLite and Room
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs for back-end integration
- Comfortable working with source control using GIT and SVN
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-leadership and a strong work ethic
- Portfolio with impactful application releases is a plus

Role Details
- Position: Mid Level Android Developers
- Location: Onsite in San Jose, CA
- Remote: No remote positions available
- Relocation: Mandatory for assignments lasting 6 to 18 months, with possible extensions
- Compensation: Commensurate with expertise
- Type: Full-time (W2 or Contract 1099)
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
