Job Description

This role supports plant manufacturing performance by operating and advancing plant data platforms, analytics, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain production-related databases including SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, and similar platforms.
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries and workflow structures to standardize definitions and improve clarity.
  • Perform regular audits across databases, SharePoint environments, administrator accounts, and security groups.
  • Validate that database records match real production data and the way systems operate on the plant floor.
  • Enable secure, efficient data collection across plant-level departments.
  • Build and maintain descriptive and predictive dashboards using Power BI and other tools.
  • Create dynamic connections between local and enterprise databases to support real-time visualization.
  • Deliver insights tailored to operational tiers: Zone, Department, Plant, and Business.
  • Propose and deploy visual management tools aligned with SQDCMEP performance targets.
  • Improve existing dashboard processes, support automation, and enable better access for teams across departments.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate new data sources and translate them into measurable business value.
  • Develop strategies to shift data collection and application workflows from PC-based approaches to factory-integrated solutions.
  • Lead or assist development of local and national applications that facilitate data sharing and collaboration.
  • Administer and automate processes using SharePoint 365 and Power Automate.
  • Use agile methods to gather business requirements and rapidly prototype data solutions.
  • Communicate and promote data-driven practices that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Participate in initiatives that align plant operations with digital transformation objectives.
  • Ensure dashboards and tools support FPS performance pillars: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Maintenance, Environmental, People.
  • Collaborate with FPS Champions, Engineering, Operations, and IT to align solutions to standardized performance metrics and visual management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, SharePoint 365, and Power Automate; experience with SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred with Pandas, Scikit-learn, PySpark).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of OT/IT integration, industrial protocols (OPC UA, MQTT), and plant systems (MES, SCADA, Historians).
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and platforms including Oracle and Hadoop.
  • Understanding of data governance, security protocols, and audit procedures.
  • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing analytics, database management, or digital operations support.
  • Experience with cloud platforms for industrial data solutions: AWS IoT, Azure IoT Suite, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with big data and streaming/processing frameworks: Apache Spark, Kafka, plus orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Proven track record deploying predictive maintenance or process optimization models in production.
  • Knowledge of ISA-95 architecture and industrial data standards.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Regular, predictable on-site attendance is an essential function.
  • Ability to move throughout offices, manufacturing facilities, and construction areas, including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25–50 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting as required.
  • Ability to work in varied environments including office, industrial, and construction settings.
  • Willingness to travel to other job sites as business needs require.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Salary range: USD 80,000 - 130,000 per year
