Job Description
In a senior data engineering role within PwC's Managed Services, this position combines technical leadership with managerial responsibilities to drive data initiatives, mentor teams, and nurture client relationships while delivering analytics-driven solutions that enhance business performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead data engineering initiatives to extract strategic insights and boost business performance, including ETL and ELT integration.
- Design and implement innovative data solutions employing advanced analytics techniques, with experience in DataStage.
- Manage and mentor project teams to develop their skills and deliver high-quality services, including pipeline architecture.
- Utilize business intelligence tools and cloud-based analytics platforms to advance data-driven decision making, leveraging AWS and Redshift.
- Construct and maintain data pipelines and architectures that support analytics programs, using DB2 and SQL Server.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data utilization and process improvements, including GoldenGate and CDC.
- Oversee the deployment of scalable data visualization and reporting solutions with attention to performance tuning.
- Promote the adoption of new technologies and methodologies within data and analytics teams, including S3 and Glue.
- Address and resolve conflicts or issues with clients and team members, escalating when necessary.
- Uphold professional and technical standards in line with the firm’s code of conduct and independence requirements.

What Sets You Apart
- Academic background in one of the following fields: Computer and Information Science; Computer and Information Science & Accounting; Economics; Economics and Finance; Economics and Finance & Technology; Operations Management or Research; Statistics; Engineering
- Demonstrated proficiency with Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools, notably BIRT
- Experience using Python and Java for data engineering tasks
- Strong capabilities in data visualization with QlikView and Spotfire
- Experience developing data architectures and pipeline strategies
- Commitment to continuous process improvement in data analytics
- Proven ability to lead teams in data driven decision making
