Machine Learning Engineer, Detection

Doppel is building an AI-native social engineering defense platform that helps protect people and brands from phishing, impersonation, fraud, and other AI-powered threats across digital channels. As a Machine Learning Engineer, Detection in New York, you’ll design, train, and deploy models that drive Doppel’s detection systems for malicious or infringing content across diverse data sources, including both batch and real-time inference.

This role sits at the intersection of machine learning and large-scale web data ingestion, with close collaboration across Detection and Infrastructure teams to keep models effective as data volume and threat patterns change.

What you’ll do

• Design, train, and deploy models that support both batch and real-time inference to identify malicious or infringing content across multiple data sources.
• Partner with the Detection and Infrastructure teams to ensure ML systems scale with the volume of web data Doppel ingests.
• Work across a range of ML problems, including NLP and embeddings, similarity search, classification, and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to translate real-world threats into production ML systems.

• Salary: USD 150,000 - 400,000 per year
