Lead Salesforce Developer
Job Description
CGI is hiring an experienced Lead Salesforce Developer to lead enterprise development efforts, shape target-state functional needs, and contribute hands-on through the full SDLC.
Responsibilities
- Lead development initiatives to assess current-state processes and define target-state functional needs across the enterprise
- Partner with business stakeholders and fellow developers to develop technical plans aligned to broader business goals
- Streamline end-to-end processes and maximize existing technology investments
- Guide project teams through the full software development lifecycle while contributing code and technical solutions
- Support alignment between IT initiatives and strategic business objectives
- Introduce a consistent, repeatable methodology for how the enterprise approaches development work
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated experience leading development teams on projects of similar scope and complexity
- Hands-on experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering through deployment
- Deep knowledge of relevant programming languages, application servers, and database platforms used in the systems being built
- Ability to work across multiple languages and technology stacks to solve real business problems for internal stakeholders
- Experience with enterprise development languages/tools such as Java, J2EE, EJB, C/C++, SQL, Visual Basic or similar legacy systems knowledge is a plus
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or Sybase, plus messaging platforms such as MQ Series
- Exposure to cloud environments, with AWS preferred, and modern integration approaches given cloud-heavy infrastructure
- Proven track record leading development teams on projects of significant scope and complexity
- Strong communication skills to work directly with business customers
- Financial services industry experience is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
