Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and program personnel
- Engage in cross-functional product or process improvement meetings using Six Sigma style principles
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and tools
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including design, coding, and testing
- Follow RMS engineering processes and procedures while performing software engineering and verification activities
- Collaborate with teammates across physical sites and guide junior engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with software development experience; minimum 9 years of experience
- C++ software development skills
- Experience debugging, unit testing, and integration testing
- Experience leading a software development team
- Experience with formal testing, verification, and validation
- Experience mentoring software engineers in a team setting
- Professional experience with Agile Principles, CI/CD methodologies, and Agile configuration management tools (Git, JIRA, Confluence)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level; U.S. citizenship required
