Java/J2EE Developer (GC-USC)

Sonsoft Inc. invites experienced Java/J2EE professionals to join their Richardson, Texas team onsite. The role focuses on delivering robust J2EE web applications using Struts, Spring, Hibernate, and SOAP/REST services within a global delivery context and across the full software lifecycle. Experience with the JBoss application server and telecom-domain exposure are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop J2EE-based web applications using server technologies including Struts, Spring, Hibernate, and SOAP/REST web services.
• Work with the JBoss Application Server to deploy and manage applications.
• Telecom domain experience is a strong plus.
• Apply SDLC disciplines (Waterfall and Agile/Scrum) from requirements gathering through design, development, testing, integration, configuration, and production support.
• Leverage analytical skills to understand business processes, gather requirements, handle data migration and extraction, perform data loading and reporting, and support maintenance and release activities.
• Utilize available tools and development frameworks and contribute effectively within a multi-application, collaborative team environment.
• Maintain clear communication and operate within a global delivery context.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in Java and J2EE technologies with demonstrated development of J2EE-based web applications using Struts, Spring, Hibernate, and SOAP/REST web services.
• At least 2 years of experience with the JBoss Application Server.
• Telecom domain experience is a strong plus.
• At least 3 years of experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (Waterfall & Agile/Scrum), including requirements gathering through client interaction, design, documentation, development, integration, testing, configuration, and production support.
• Excellent analytical skills to understand business processes, requirements gathering, data migration, data extraction, data loading, reporting, application maintenance, production support, and release management.
• Knowledge of available tools and development frameworks.
• Ability to work in a collaborative multi-application team environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience and willingness to work in a global delivery environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
