Java Developer

This contract role in Lansing, Michigan offers hybrid work flexibility and a competitive hourly rate for a Full-Stack Java Developer on an Agile development team. You will help organize work with the Project Manager, Application Owner, and Resource Manager, then develop, test, and deploy code while collaborating with UI/UX colleagues to build responsive interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Organize work on an Agile development team with the Project Manager, Application Owner, and Resource Manager.
• Develop, test, and deploy code.
• Collaborate with UI/UX team members in building user interfaces and responsive applications.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience developing complex computer systems using Java, including use of IDE tools such as Eclipse or JBoss Developer Studio
• 5+ years of experience developing application user interfaces using modern JavaScript/front-end frameworks and CSS
• 5+ years of experience working with the Spring Framework
• 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Bootstrap
• 5+ years of experience with JPA/Hibernate frameworks
• 5+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment
• 5+ years of experience using HTML5, CSS, and DataTables
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8
• 4+ years of experience with jQuery and jQuery UI
• 4+ years of experience working with Oracle 12c or Oracle 19c
• Exposure to front-end development technologies and frameworks
• 4+ years of experience developing applications using React.js preferred
• 4+ years of experience working within the JBoss Enterprise environment preferred
• 4+ years of experience with SQL and/or PL/SQL development preferred
• 4+ years of experience using Log4j, JUnit, and Apache Tiles preferred
• 4+ years of experience with reporting tools such as Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, or Business Objects preferred
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
