IT Data Engineer IV

The IT Data Engineer IV role, onsite in Westborough, MA, focuses on managing Gas SCADA and RTU software/hardware, including RTU programming and Aveva Enterprise SCADA 2023 screens, at USD 65-75 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and upgrade SCADA software and field RTU software to ensure reliability and performance.
• Assess, research, develop, maintain and deploy SCADA enhancements.
• Define and sustain SCADA data structures and definitions in Aveva Enterprise 2023.
• Build SCADA operational pages, generate system reports, and manage historical and real-time databases.
• Program and deploy installation of all new and upgraded field RTUs and telecom links.
• Administer remote communications links, including leased lines, cellular modems, radio, and fiber optic.
• Collaborate with IT Networking and Security to maintain a dependable and secure Gas SCADA network.
• Produce reports and operational data for various departments and agencies.
• Deliver training and foster innovation and user involvement in system development.
• Design RTU programming to support field projects.
• Develop screens for Aveva Enterprise SCADA 2023.
• Troubleshoot the SCADA system to ensure uninterrupted Gas SCADA operations.
• Evaluate and integrate new gas monitoring equipment and telecommunication options.
• Support capital projects requiring SCADA implementation through the full lifecycle to commissioning.
