SMART TECH SKILLS LLC offers a Senior-level opportunity for an Informatica and Snowflake Data Engineer in a hybrid setup. If you value building reliable enterprise data pipelines and improving production stability, this role focuses on data integration design, ETL/ELT development, and ongoing support.
Based in Tallahassee, FL (hybrid) (Senior level, 8+ years), you will deliver scalable solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud, with Snowflake for data loading and performance-focused schema and query work. The role also emphasizes documentation, requirements gathering, and collaboration across business and technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, including mappings, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations.
- Ingest data from multiple heterogeneous sources such as flat files, APIs, relational databases, and mainframe extracts into Oracle databases.
- Build and support cloud-based ETL/ELT solutions with Informatica Cloud Data Integration.
- Write and optimize Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, including stored procedures, packages, and performance tuning for ETL-related queries.
- Load data into Snowflake and help with schema design and query performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, job failures, and performance bottlenecks in production ETL pipelines.
- Gather data requirements, perform source-to-target mapping, and document data flow and design specifications.
- Analyze user requirements and operational procedures to identify opportunities for automation or system improvement.
- Support batch data loads using scheduling/orchestration tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or the Informatica scheduler.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data engineering solutions.
- Confer with organizational units to analyze current procedures and define input/output and reporting requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer/Systems Analyst designing, developing, and supporting data integration solutions in an enterprise environment.
- 8+ years of hands-on ETL workflow development and maintenance using Informatica PowerCenter.
- 8+ years ingesting data from multiple heterogeneous sources into Oracle databases.
- 8+ years strong working knowledge of Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, including stored procedures, packages, and performance tuning.
- 8+ years experience with Snowflake, including data loading, schema design, and query performance optimization.
- 8+ years experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud Data Integration for cloud-based ETL/ELT development.
- 8+ years gathering data requirements, performing source-to-target mapping, and documenting data flow/design specifications.
