Compensation: USD 50,000 - 70,000 per year.

This is a contract, onsite role based in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and fix critical issues on the front line, addressing data duplication, broken modals that affect core functionality, and slow rendering of diagrams and tables.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize across the stack.
• Improve backend tasks in Laravel and streamline frontend navigation and rendering in ReactJS.
• Increase stability through thoughtful refactoring and future-ready implementations.
• Keep the technology stack current by applying the latest releases.
• Resolve smaller Jira-reported bugs to refine the user experience.
• Contribute to new features and integrations, including generative AI work and dashboard synchronization across systems.
• Support payment integrations such as Stripe overages and pursue platform certifications like Xero.
• Enable AI assisted coding for QuickBooks Online where applicable.
• Maintain Jira transparency with ticket updates, clear estimates, and active participation in Agile sprints.
• Collaborate in standups, code reviews, and release cycles with a team that values quality and innovation.

Requirements

• Based in the Houston, TX area or willing to relocate there before starting (required)
• Minimum 2 years of PHP Laravel framework experience (required)
