F-22 Software Engineer
Job Description
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking an experienced F-22 Software Engineer to advance embedded software development and integration across the full software lifecycle. This on-site role supports high-assurance defense programs and requires US citizenship with a Secret clearance to access secure facilities. The position focuses on delivering reliable embedded software for the F-22 platform while contributing across requirements, design, implementation, testing, and integration.
Responsibilities
- Focus on software development and integration on embedded hardware.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design, software implementation, integration, and operational test.
- Adjudicate change requests as the software is updated, tested, and integrated.
- Plan and collaborate with other teams to coordinate multi-subsystem and system-level testing needs.
- Be dedicated, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, work well with other engineers, and be willing to accomplish program goals within cost and schedule.
- Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle and ensure the standards are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related STEM degree.
- Experience developing in C++ and/or Python programming languages.
- Relevant experience with embedded software development tool sets, and file formats (compilers, linkers, debuggers).
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Secret security clearance to start (facility requires special access).
- Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
