ERP Systems Analyst / Developer

At H.O. Penn Machinery, the on-site ERP Systems Analyst / Developer blends analysis, reporting, and hands-on ERP work to keep enterprise applications aligned with evolving business needs. Based in Poughkeepsie, NY, this role partners with users and project teams to maintain data integrity, deliver targeted reports, and drive ERP-related initiatives. The position offers a salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year and requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience along with a information systems degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the performance and scope of enterprise applications
• Preserve system data integrity by executing and documenting IT procedures
• Support users with functional questions and issue resolution
• Evaluate, test, and deploy application updates, fixes, and enhancements
• Deliver timely custom reports addressing previously unmet business needs
• Develop IT solutions to optimize business outcomes
• Update and maintain customizations and configurations of applications
• Adhere to departmental standards and IT industry best practices to ensure quality results
• Monitor and resolve operational issues promptly
• Configure and monitor automated application processes
• Maintain ERP documentation to support disaster recovery procedures and participate in DR testing
• Coordinate with internal departments and third-party implementation teams
• Offer technical guidance to advise and assist on projects
• Support testing and deployment efforts

Requirements

• This is an on-site position based in Poughkeepsie, NY
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience required
• Minimum 3 years of business system analysis, business system support, and programming experience
• Strong experience with ERP systems, business system analysis, and user support
• Proficiency with SQL and relational database platforms
• Experience with: N-Tier development using CSS, HTML, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, SQL, MS Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Dataverse)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication (written and verbal), and task management skills
• Ability to adapt to evolving systems, technologies, and business needs
