Job Description

The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications and data visualization solutions using .NET and Power BI to deliver actionable business insights. This on-site position is based in Mississippi State, MS, with a pay rate of $54.00 to $55.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, and related technologies to meet business requirements.
  • Design and implement interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI to visualize complex datasets effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Integrate various data sources such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for comprehensive analytics.
  • Build RESTful APIs and web services using WCF, SOAP, JSON, XML, and other protocols to facilitate seamless data exchange across systems.
  • Optimize application performance through debugging, multithreading techniques, code reviews, and adherence to best practices in the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Maintain code repositories using GitHub or TFS, ensuring version control and collaborative development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software development with a strong focus on .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WCF, and Entity Framework.
  • Extensive knowledge of front-end development frameworks such as React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and UI/UX design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports; familiarity with DAX is a plus.
  • Proficiency in database design and management using Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar relational databases; experience with PL/SQL is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure for deploying applications and managing cloud-based resources.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API development, SOAP web services, JSON/XML data formats.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban; experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues through debugging techniques; experience with unit testing frameworks is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
