Dot Net and Power BI Developer
Job Description
The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications and data visualization solutions using .NET and Power BI to deliver actionable business insights. This on-site position is based in Mississippi State, MS, with a pay rate of $54.00 to $55.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, and related technologies to meet business requirements.
- Design and implement interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI to visualize complex datasets effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Integrate various data sources such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for comprehensive analytics.
- Build RESTful APIs and web services using WCF, SOAP, JSON, XML, and other protocols to facilitate seamless data exchange across systems.
- Optimize application performance through debugging, multithreading techniques, code reviews, and adherence to best practices in the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Maintain code repositories using GitHub or TFS, ensuring version control and collaborative development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development with a strong focus on .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WCF, and Entity Framework.
- Extensive knowledge of front-end development frameworks such as React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and UI/UX design principles.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports; familiarity with DAX is a plus.
- Proficiency in database design and management using Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar relational databases; experience with PL/SQL is advantageous.
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure for deploying applications and managing cloud-based resources.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API development, SOAP web services, JSON/XML data formats.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban; experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues through debugging techniques; experience with unit testing frameworks is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
