Databricks Data Engineer

Infosys is offering an onsite Databricks Data Engineer role in Hartford, CT, focused on delivering high quality software while fostering knowledge sharing across projects. In this position you will contribute to requirements elicitation, participate in design discussions, code and integrate new features, complete code reviews, and implement test strategies. You will also develop training materials and documentation and assist with production issue resolution to ensure reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned portions of business requirements in line with provided guidance.
• Facilitate software application design discussions and capture design decisions to guide the technical team toward robust solutions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with an emphasis on maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, implement changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to enable a smooth transition to new software.
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and propose preventive strategies to enhance system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base for future projects.
