This Data Engineer - Snowflake & Azure role is based in the Lenexa, KS office, working three days in the office and two days optional remote.
What you’ll do
Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Snowflake and Azure-based data platforms, including data lakes, SQL databases, and data warehouse solutions. The focus is on building reliable, scalable, and high-performing data capabilities, while providing operational support for production environments.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Snowflake databases, data models, and cloud-based data pipelines.
- Design, develop, and support ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake and related integration technologies.
- Build and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable data solutions for reporting, analytics, and operational needs.
- Automate data ingestion, validation, transformation, and monitoring to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Support Snowflake platform performance, security, governance, and operational initiatives.
- Prepare and validate data assets to enable reporting, analytics, and self-service data consumption.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across data platforms and solutions.
- Monitor production data processes, diagnose issues, and resolve failures, performance concerns, and data inconsistencies.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders on data quality initiatives to support reliable and accurate data.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data platforms with a strong focus on Snowflake.
- Experience building and maintaining data integration and ETL/ELT solutions using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, DBT, SSIS, or similar technologies.
- Experience delivering cloud-based data solutions in modern data warehousing or lakehouse environments.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in Snowflake data platform development and optimization.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Git.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Compensation and additional details
The pay range shown is a guideline: Min: $82,000 – $166,000 per year. Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies, and may change based on work location.
