Job Description
This Senior Data Engineer position at Booz Allen Hamilton focuses on building data pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data for mission-driven projects, guiding cross-functional teams and delivering scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and deployment of advanced technology solutions on mission-focused initiatives.
- Develop and deploy data pipelines and platforms that unify diverse data sources and render them meaningful for users.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers within an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Apply analytical exploration to oversee the assessment, design, construction, and maintenance of scalable platforms for clients.
Requirements
- Track record delivering mission or enterprise systems, including data integration, secure compute environments, or operator-facing applications in restricted or classified settings.
- Experience building secure analytics ecosystem applications, such as log ingestion pipelines, monitoring frameworks, operational dashboards, or intelligence fusion platforms in greenfield or modernization efforts.
- Ability to make engineering tradeoffs under constrained mission conditions, including limited infrastructure, fragmented networks, evolving requirements, or tight timelines.
- Proven capacity to rapidly learn unfamiliar technologies and support engineering teams through implementation.
- Experience communicating architectural decisions and solution impacts to engineers, government clients, and senior nontechnical stakeholders.

Work Model
- Remote: This role may require occasional on-site work at Booz Allen or client facilities.
- Hybrid: Frequent on-site work at Booz Allen facilities, with potential visits to client locations as needed.
- Onsite: Primary duties performed at a Booz Allen office or client facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.

- Experience integrating AI or ML capabilities into production workflows or operator tooling, such as LLM enabled assistants, model augmented decision aids, or automation solutions.
- Experience designing and implementing data pipelines, ontologies, and application workflows on platforms such as Palantir Foundry or Gotham, including airgapped, degraded connectivity, or multiclassification environments.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, and automated testing within constrained toolchain environments.
- Experience supporting multi-cloud, multi enclave, or multiclassification architectures, including environments spanning NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, or coalition networks.
- Experience contributing to defense programs or large systems integration efforts involving acquisition, compliance, or organizational complexity.
- Experience developing agentic workflows, automation pipelines, or custom tooling to increase engineering throughput or reduce operator workload.
- Experience serving in a technical lead capacity responsible for system design and delivery.
- Top Secret clearance.
- Architecture certifications in AWS, Palantir Foundry, Gotham, or Kubernetes.
