2+ years of experience with a programming language
2+ years of experience with developing data pipelines, data modeling, schema configuration, data quality, standardization techniques, data integration, and data management
Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various data types into usable formats
Ability to work in a big data environment; quickly learn technical concepts; demonstrate technical solutions, standards, and best practices
Ability to communicate and demonstrate with multiple functional groups, including non-technical stakeholders
Ability to take initiative, solve problems with limited guidance, and collaborate in a matrixed environment
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Development and 2+ years of experience as a data engineer, or 3+ years of experience as a data engineer in lieu of a degree

Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments, including Atlassian tools
Experience with rapid-response query solutions on big data platforms, including Solr, Elasticsearch, or similar scalable query engines
Experience with batch and real-time big data integration frameworks in private or public cloud environments, including AWS or Azure, and technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Impala
Knowledge of Zero Trust and role-based data access design
Knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling
Ability to research emerging technologies and industry trends independently
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
Master’s degree
