Job Description
Data Engineer, Product Analytics at Meta works onsite in Menlo Park, CA to build data artifacts and visualizations that support product analytics across Meta’s apps. The role partners with engineering, data science, and product management to design scalable data solutions with a strong emphasis on privacy and data quality. The position offers a salary range of USD 114,000 to 173,000 per year and requires at least two years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute data warehouse plans for a product or a group of products to solve clearly defined problems
- Identify the data needed for a business problem and implement the required logging to ensure data availability, coordinating with data infrastructure to triage issues and resolve
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers and data scientists to understand data needs and present key data insights in a meaningful way
- Build data expertise and apply data controls to ensure privacy, security, compliance, data quality, and operational standards for assigned areas of ownership
- Design, build and launch new data models and visualizations in production, leveraging common development toolkits
- Independently design, build and launch new data extraction, transformation and loading processes in production, mentoring others around efficient queries
- Support existing processes running in production and implement optimized solutions with limited guidance
- Define and manage Service Level Agreements for data sets in allocated areas of ownership
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (for example Python, C++, C#, Scala or others)
