Data Engineer II, Intl. Seller Services

This onsite Data Engineer II position based in Seattle, WA focuses on designing and building the next generation of data and ML infrastructure for GenAI applications within Amazon's International Seller Services, collaborating with Applied Scientists, Data Scientists, and Economists to convert research into scalable data products.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, steer data engineering initiatives, and deliver end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-efficient.
• Bring a passion for working with large datasets, with experience organizing and curating data for analytics and a strategic, long-term view on architecting advanced data ecosystems.
• Build efficient and scalable data services and integrate data systems with AWS tools and services to support diverse customer use cases and applications.
• Design, implement, and operate large-scale, high-volume data structures for analytics and data science.
• Implement data ingestion routines utilizing best practices in data modeling and ETL/ELT processes with AWS technologies and big data tools.
• Capture business and functional requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, operable solutions with a flexible and adaptable data architecture.
• Collaborate with engineers to promote best practices in data system creation, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing data solutions and drive enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• 1+ years developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics, including ETL/ELT processes, OLAP technologies, data modeling, SQL, and Oracle.
• 3+ years of non internship data engineering experience.
