Data Engineer - Football
Job Description
The Tennessee Titans are seeking a Data Engineer - Football in Nashville, TN to build and maintain the data infrastructure powering football solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines and data models for a data warehouse, with focus on performance, cost-efficiency, and change-readiness
- Own the import process for third-party football data, including cleaning, transforming, reconciling inconsistencies and errors, and merging into the existing data model
- Manage Docker-based deployments of data services to support repeatable, reliable delivery across development and production environments
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects, ensuring timely, high-quality results for internal stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to use AI to support data model design, pipeline management, and detection or handling of data anomalies
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in a professional setting
- Expertise in SQL and Python, including experience building production-grade ETL pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT, or a comparable cloud data warehouse and transformation framework
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
- Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with CI/CD best practices, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing frameworks
- Proficiency deploying and managing containerized applications with Docker in production environments
- Proficiency with Git for version control, including branching, pull requests, and code review workflows
