Data Engineer, Data Infrastructure and Generative Intelligence - AIGC Finance

Build analytical data infrastructure for multiple Amazon Ads businesses within the AIGC DIGI team, partnering with Finance and business leaders to deliver scalable, stable, and accurate data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assess business needs and review the existing tech stack and data landscape; design, redesign, and implement analytical data infrastructure for multiple ads businesses
• Coordinate with upstream and partner data teams to ensure reliable data solutions for the team
• Manage AWS resources including EC2, EMR, S3, Glue, Redshift, and related services
• Work with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a variety of data sources
• Explore and adopt new AWS technologies to add capabilities and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with and support Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs) on reporting and analysis practices: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
• Translate stakeholder business questions into requirements and scalable data solutions
• Continuously improve reporting and analysis workflows by automating or simplifying self-service support for customers

Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• 1+ year developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using ETL/ELT
• 1+ year developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using OLAP technologies
• 1+ year developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using data modeling
• 1+ year developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using SQL
• 1+ year developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using Oracle
• 3+ years in the job offered or a related occupation experience
• 1+ year using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) for BI analytics
• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field) or foreign equivalent
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines

About the Team

• Builds and operates scalable data infrastructure and AI solutions serving finance and business stakeholders across AIGC
• Works closely with the APM Advertising Finance team supporting publishers including Stores, Amazon Business, Books, Grocery/Physical Store, Devices, Video, and Audio
• Focuses on accelerating top-line revenue and improving profitability by evaluating ad supply monetization and utilization, product feature or sales package adoption, campaign performance, and other growth drivers

• Salary: USD 145,300 - 196,600 per year
