Data Engineer- Analytics
Job Description
Build and mature analytics data services that help internal business units access data securely and deliver actionable insights in a cloud-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Leaders, Analysts, and stakeholders to translate analysis needs into data requirements and scalable solutions
- Support strategic data and analytics initiatives enabling curated self-service data consumption for key business areas
- Integrate and deliver insights and analysis from multiple sources so customers can make decisions across functional, product, program, customer, and risk areas
- Develop analysis frameworks for fast, agile insights while maintaining insight quality and informing strategy
- Partner across operational and support teams to build scalable data-based solutions tied to improving key metrics and OKRs
- Work with business leaders to interpret market drivers, OKRs, and products into comprehensible insights for other teams
- Apply trend analysis and reviews, including drafting executive outlines and recommending strategic changes based on findings for non-technical leadership
- Apply knowledge and experience in statistical modeling, Natural Language Processing, and GenAI/AIML modeling
- Implement automated data quality checks and validation processes to protect data integrity and accuracy at scale
- Design, build, and maintain robust reporting packages drawing from multiple sources through the data warehouse and analytics marts
- Ensure reporting and analysis system reliability, availability, scalability, and optimize performance for increasing data volumes
- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and reliability across warehouse, data marts, and reporting layers
- Use Power BI to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support stakeholder decision-making
- Troubleshoot data-related issues, identify root causes, and implement timely fixes to minimize business impact
- Create and maintain design documents and documentation for reporting pipelines, semantic models, and processes
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in reporting and data analysis, recommending and implementing improvements for scalability and growth
- Partner with business units to identify and interpret data needs and propose innovative ways to consume and analyze data
- Create reusable templates, including Power BI semantic models, to enable other data services and IT teams in their reporting work
- Perform all other functions and duties as assigned
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar reporting role, with strong background in data analysis, reporting, and statistics
- Proven experience focused on data storytelling, report development, and in-depth data analysis
- Solid understanding of data reporting models and communication
- Power BI proficiency (or similar reporting tools), SQL experience, and experience working with relational databases
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools such as Snowflake or Microsoft Synapse
- Experience with data modeling, semantic model design, and optimization techniques for scalability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting complex data issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork
