Data Engineer

This role supports a defense intelligence mission by building proofs of concept and minimum viable products that apply NLP, generative AI, and agentic AI. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and on-site work in Tampa, FL five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and apply advanced GenAI and AgenticAI methods to address complex, real-world problems.
• Create and share technical and leadership-facing materials, including whitepapers, presentations, executive briefings, reports, and other documentation to support AI solutions and services.
• Advise federal clients with a high degree of autonomy across AI strategy and development, including exploratory data analysis, model development and validation, and deployment to both on-prem and cloud environments.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for GPS clients and the broader global AI partner ecosystem.
• Iterate on and/or create repeatable, reusable processes and scalable data systems that meet technical and deployment constraints.
• Maintain data science best practices by staying current with emerging GenAI and AgenticAI methodologies, technologies, industry trends, and open source packages.
• Collaborate across disciplines with other scientists and data engineers, federal account leadership, and management to support delivery and successful outcomes.
• Apply continuous improvement in data science practices, methodologies, technologies, and open source tools as the technical landscape evolves.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• 3+ years of experience in Python.
• 3+ years of experience executing data science methodologies using common programming and scripting languages.
• Ability to work on-site in Tampa, FL five days per week.

• Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers for technical and non-technical audiences.
