Job Description
Experis is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable AI and data platforms and pipelines for enterprise-wide data and AI initiatives. This fully onsite role in Austin, TX focuses on modern data platforms, including warehouses, lakes, and ETL/ELT, with close collaboration across engineering, data science, and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage scalable AI and data platforms and pipelines that support efficient data collection, processing, and analysis for business insights.
- Lead development of modern data solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines, along with cloud-based analytics and machine learning data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with semiconductor engineers, data scientists, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver reliable data systems aligned to enterprise needs.
- Apply expertise in data architecture, data integration, cloud technologies, and software engineering best practices to strengthen the overall data ecosystem.
- Mentor team members, influence technical direction, and drive continuous improvement across the end-to-end data platform.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in system design, database design, data modeling, and data architecture, preferably within the semiconductor industry or related high-tech sectors.
- Hands-on experience building enterprise software with AI coding tools (examples: Cursor, Claude Code) and using ETL and data/warehousing/integration tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, NiFi, and Postgres.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- At least 5+ years of cloud computing experience using AWS, Azure, or GCP; Azure preferred.
- Experience with Infrastructure-As-Code and CI/CD automation, plus experience collaborating with international teams, particularly in China and India.
