Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced technology solutions and data engineering activities on mission driven programs.
• Deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data and render it meaningful.
• Collaborate with and guide a multi disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast paced, agile setting.
• Leverage analytical exploration and data examination to manage the assessment, design, construction, and upkeep of scalable data platforms for clients.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in a related environment.
• 3+ years designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale.
• 3+ years building software to retrieve, parse, and process structured and unstructured data.
• 3+ years constructing scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Experience collaborating in a cross functional, collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency with Databricks including Delta Lake, Spark, notebooks, and workflows or jobs.
• Experience with GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and code review workflows.
• Ability to develop scripts and programs to convert various data types into usable formats and to support scaling, monitoring, and operation of data platforms.
• Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Clearance

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is USD 62,000 to USD 141,000 annually. Final pay is influenced by location, education, skills, experience, contract terms, and organizational requirements. Booz Allen offers a comprehensive benefits package that complements base pay.
