Data Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows
- Develop data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes
- Manage and document data schemas and metadata
- Partner with analysts and business users to translate data needs into technical solutions
- Run data quality checks and troubleshoot pipeline issues
- Automate manual data processes to improve efficiency
- Work hands-on with cloud-based data tools and platforms (Azure)
- Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices
- Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies with the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in a data engineering or analytics support role
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
- Working knowledge of Python for data processing
- Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functional
- Collaborative mindset with a desire to learn from senior team members in a mentorship-driven environment
