Data Analyst/Data Engineer

The Brite Group is seeking a Data Analyst/Data Engineer to support DoD stakeholders with analysis of military, government, and business operations. In this onsite role at Mark Center in Alexandria, VA, you will work with complex datasets to produce data-driven insights that inform decision-making and policy or resource allocation. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and 5 days onsite.

Role focus

• Analyze military, governmental, or business operations and deliver insights for decision-making, policy, and resource allocation.
• Support DoD stakeholders in collecting, maintaining, and refining complex datasets.
• Extract datasets from multiple sources using SQL and/or Python.
• Use ETL tools to manage large, complex datasets.
• Apply advanced Excel skills and work with Microsoft Access databases.

Experience and qualifications

• 4+ years working as a data analyst, including experience tied to military or operations research-related fields such as military operations, deployment readiness, and financial data.
• Familiarity with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE).
• Experience with Microsoft Access and advanced Excel.
• Strong experience extracting datasets from multiple data sources using SQL and/or Python.
• Some experience with ETL tools and working with large datasets.
• 2 to 3 years working directly with DoD stakeholders to collect, maintain, and refine complex datasets.
• Proven expertise in SQL with experience interfacing with clients.
• Direct experience with ETL/ELT tools and managing large, complex datasets.
• Active Top Secret clearance or higher required.

• Salary range: USD 85,000 - 100,000 per year
