Cyber Platforms Software Engineer, Senior
Job Description
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Cyber Platforms Software Engineer to tackle large, dynamic cyber challenges through production-grade software. Based in Annapolis Junction, MD and onsite, you’ll contribute across backend services, data systems, user-facing tools, automation, containers, and cloud infrastructure, applying AI and analytics to support operators.
The Opportunity
- Work on software for large, fast-changing cyber problems where speed, scale, and complexity drive the need for better tools used by operators, analysts, and cyber experts.
- Move across the stack from early technical concepts to prototypes and deployed products, shaping new capabilities from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Build software that helps operators interpret fragmented, high-volume cyber data.
- Improve reliability, observability, and repeatability of complex cyber workflows at enterprise scale.
- Translate new cyber capabilities from concept to prototype and deployed product.
- Apply AI, analytics, and decision-support techniques to reduce analyst burden and enhance operator decision-making.
- Develop orchestration and human-in-the-loop systems to help cyber teams coordinate, prioritize, and act.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building, shipping, and supporting production software in a professional environment.
- 3+ years of experience building back-end services, APIs, data workflows, or platform components with Python.
- 2+ years of experience with Docker or Kubernetes, containers, and reproducible development or deployment workflows.
- 2+ years of experience building, deploying, or operating software on cloud platforms such as AWS.
- 2+ years of experience designing or operating production systems that use databases, APIs, queues, caches, background jobs, or distributed-system patterns.
- 2+ years of experience owning technical delivery for a feature, service, product area, or engineering workstream.
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.

Work model
- Onsite: Work primarily at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.

Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 86,900 - 198,000 per year.
