BI Developer - Temporary / Contract Position

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret existing reports from IGT systems.
• Assess reports generated in SQL reporting environments.
• Evaluate reports from core casino reporting platforms.
• Rebuild, modernize, and enhance reports and dashboards on the BI Platform using Light & Wonder data, SSAS cubes, and related databases.
• Collaborate with casino leadership and department stakeholders to capture reporting requirements and business objectives.
• Create BI Platform dashboards and reports focused on Slot performance.
• Create BI Platform dashboards and reports focused on Player development and loyalty.
• Create BI Platform dashboards and reports focused on Marketing campaign analysis.
• Create BI Platform dashboards and reports focused on Promotions and player reinvestment tracking.
• Create BI Platform dashboards and reports focused on Poker room analytics and operational reporting.
• Create BI Platform dashboards and reports focused on Revenue and financial reporting.
• Create BI Platform dashboards and reports focused on Operational KPIs.
• Translate complex operational data into user friendly visualizations and executive dashboards.
• Connect the BI Platform to Light & Wonder systems.
• Connect the BI Platform to SQL databases.
• Connect the BI Platform to Excel and CSV data sources.
• Connect the BI Platform to other casino operational systems.
• Improve and optimize reporting processes for efficiency, scalability, and usability.
• Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency between operational SQL/IGT reports, the SSAS semantic layer, and front end dashboards.
• Document reporting logic, calculations, and dashboard structures.
• Train internal team members on BI Platform fundamentals.
• Train internal team members on Dashboard development.
• Train internal team members on data visualization best practices.
• Train internal team members on On-Premises and Cloud platform usage.
• Train internal team members on maintaining and modifying reports.
• Provide ongoing knowledge transfer and technical guidance throughout the engagement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a BI Developer, Report Developer, or Data Visualization Specialist.
• Prior casino or gaming industry experience is required.
• Strong understanding of casino operations, slot analytics, poker room reporting, player tracking systems, and casino KPIs.
• Experience with Modern BI Platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and multidimensional cubes.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for paginated, operational, and transactional reporting.
• Experience with casino management and reporting systems.
• Experience recreating or migrating reports from core casino systems into a centralized BI Platform.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Experience conducting end-user training or mentoring teams on reporting tools.
• Strong English communication skills; Spanish fluency or bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Position Summary

This contract role centers on upholding data integrity, accurate business logic, and trusted enterprise reporting. The successful candidate will build reliable dashboards and enterprise reports using data from the Light & Wonder casino management and analytics systems, aiming to establish a single source of truth by embedding critical rules into trusted reporting.

The role requires hands-on casino industry experience and familiarity with slot operations, player tracking, marketing analytics, poker room analytics, financial metrics, and operational reporting. You will work with operations and leadership to identify reporting needs, replicate key reports, and develop enhanced dashboards that provide actionable insights. Training and mentoring of internal staff on BI Platform usage, report development, dashboard management, and best practices are included, with bilingual English/Spanish communication strongly preferred.
