AWS/Kafka Data Engineer - Senior Software Engineer

MuleWork is hiring a Senior Software Engineer with AWS and Apache Kafka expertise to design and deliver scalable, cloud-based data solutions. The role centers on real-time streaming and distributed systems, with ownership of pipeline performance, monitoring, and architecture work across data and engineering teams.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Develop real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Manage cloud data infrastructure and services on AWS.
• Optimize data processing, storage, and overall system performance.
• Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with software engineers and data teams on system architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in data engineering and software development.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud architecture, CI/CD, and data processing frameworks.
• Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills.
